Board of Directors

Hudson Gilmer

Co-founder, CEO

LineVision CEO and Co-Founder, Hudson Gilmer brings over a decade of experience developing innovative data and analytics services for the energy industry. He oversees a team of passionate energy and technology professionals dedicated to the company’s mission of harnessing advanced sensors and analytics to improve the efficiency and resilience of power grids around the world.

Prior to his work with LineVision, Hudson served in roles as Vice President, Commercial Markets at Genscape, and led commercial teams at EnvaPower and EnerNOC. Hudson has an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Business.

Hudson lives in Winchester, MA where he can be found crashing through local trails on foot, bike, or skis.

Lisa Frantzis

Board Member

Lisa is the Senior Managing Director at Advanced Energy Economy (AEE), a national business association dedicated to transforming policy that ensures a more secure, clean, and affordable energy system throughout the U.S. and is also a partner at Guidehouse (formerly Navigant), where she has led their renewable and distributed energy team. She is a longtime leader of AEE’s initiatives to accelerate the transition to a 21st-century electric system. Lisa has hosted CEO and Public Utility Commission (PUC) forums that convene PUC commissioners and advanced energy companies to share information on maximizing the benefits of new, advanced energy technologies for the electric power sector and its customers. She also leads AEE’s Utility Advisory Committee, which facilitates dialogue between utility and advanced energy executives on topics such as electric vehicle grid integration and distributed energy resources. She has worked for more than 35 years in clean energy counseling at Guidehouse and as a Director in the energy practice at Arthur D. Little. She is a member of the Board of Directors Northeast Clean Energy Council and an Ambassador for the U.S. Clean Energy, Education and Empowerment (C3E) Initiative.

Todd Gershkowitz

Board Member

Todd Gershkowitz is an executive vice president at State Street, a global financial services company headquartered in Boston, MA. Todd has over 30 years of management and consulting experience and prior to State Street worked at Citigroup, GE Capital, IBM, and UBS. Todd is an avid angel investor and has served on the boards of three other private companies.

Phil Giudice

Board Member

Phil has five decades experience in the energy industry as a geologist, consultant, entrepreneur, executive, board director and energy official in state and federal roles. Most recently, Phil served as Special Assistant to the President for Climate Policy during the startup of the Biden- Harris administration. Phil is the Board Chair for FirstLight and served as board member for the Northeast Clean Energy Council, Prime Coalition, Clean Air Task Force and was Massachusetts Energy Undersecretary and Commissioner. Phil led, help lead and served on Boards of lead energy innovation startups including Ambri (formerly Liquid Metal Battery Corporation), EnerNOC (now EnelX), FirstFuel (now Uplight), and Nexus (now Aclara).

Invested in groundbreaking companies including; Carbon, Crossbow, Elroy, EnerNOC, Foreflight, Naverus, Peribit, Quorum, Silver Spring, Solar City, Spinlaunch, and Tesla. 3-time successful entrepreneur and Stanford engineer. Co-founder of CAFE Foundation & Electric Flight Symposium.

Kevin Kimsa

Kevin Kimsa is a Co-Founder and serves as Managing Partner at Climate Innovation Capital, a venture capital firm focused on growth equity opportunities in the Climatech sector, with an overarching mandate to decarbonize the economy.  Prior to his work with Climate Innovation Capital, Mr. Kimsa served as General Partner of ScaleUP Ventures, a $106M fund targeting Series Seed and Series A investments in SaaS-based B-to-B opportunities. In April of 2003, the Globe & Mail named Mr. Kimsa a Top 40 Under 40 in its Report on Business Magazine and in 2006, Mr. Kimsa was awarded the designation of Top 10 of the 400 award winners of the decade.

Francis O'Sullivan

Board Member

Francis O’Sullivan is Managing Director for S2G Ventures where he oversees the fund’s Clean Energy investments. Previously, Frank was a Senior Vice President and Head of Onshore Strategy for Ørsted, one of the world’s leading renewable energy developers. Prior to Ørsted, Frank was Director of Research for the MIT Energy Initiative and Co-Director of the MIT Electric Power System Center where he led the research agenda of one of the world’s leading energy and sustainability-focused academic research initiatives. Frank has previously served as a member of the U.S. National Academies’ Roundtable on Science and Technology for Sustainability. He is a Distinguished Associate with the Energy Futures Initiative.

Nora Mead Brownell

Nora is the co-founder of ESPY Energy Solutions, LLC, a consultancy serving the energy industry. Prior to this, she served on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, was Chair of the Board at Pacific Gas and Electric, and served as a member of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. As a leading advocate of responsive and effective independent board governance at RTOs and corporations, Ms. Brownell is a strong proponent of policies that promote investment in national energy infrastructure development and foster competitive markets to serve the public interest.

David Brewster

David co-founded and scaled EnerNOC into a public company with >1,000 employees and >$400 million in revenue. At EnerNOC, David initiated and oversaw 19 acquisitions, as well as divestitures, joint ventures, and debt/equity capital markets issuances. EnerNOC was acquired by Enel in August 2017. David is a Global Leadership Council member of the World Resources Institute and a Board Member of Desalitech and Emex, LLC.

Chris Kelly

Chris Kelly is passionate about shaping the clean energy future and implementing safe, reliable, and practical solutions to the impacts of climate change on behalf of the customers he serves. He became National Grid’s Electric Chief Operating Officer in the US after 3 decades of service in the energy and telecommunication industries. Previous roles included Chief Engineer and Senior Vice President Electric and Process Engineering. Chris also led the company's Smart Grid Program in Massachusetts and has led many of the engineering and operations organizations that deliver electric transmission and distribution systems infrastructure. Prior to joining the energy sector, Chris worked for the Department of Defense specializing in point-to-point telecommunications and encryption. Chris is a graduate of Rutgers University’s Electrical Engineering program (B.S.E.E.) and holds an M.B.A. from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a CIGRE US Board Member, a Registered Professional Engineer, and a member of the IEEE's Power Engineering Society.

Brian Janous

Advisory Board Member

Brian is a global decarbonization leader with nearly 25 years of experience pioneering innovative approaches to marrying sustainability with business strategies. Most recently, Brian served as VP of Energy at Microsoft, responsible for leading the development and execution of Microsoft’s global cloud and AI energy strategy. This included oversight of energy policy, procurement, renewable energy, distributed generation, and overall environmental impact.

Prior to Microsoft Brian worked as a Sr. Consultant at Brubaker & Associates, assisting Fortune 500 companies with energy procurement, policy and sustainability matters. Brian holds an MBA from Webster University, a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Missouri. Brian presently serves on the board of the Institute for Energy Studies at Western Washington University has also served on the board of the American Wind Energy Association (now the American Clean Power Association).

Dan Middleton

Advisory Board Member

Dan leverages over 30 years of executive experience in energy markets, focusing on disruptive technologies such as IoT, AI, DER, and robotics. Leading Auxo Consulting Group, he has driven national expansion plans and strategic partnerships for EV charging solutions and is experienced at Distributed Energy Resource solutions. At Bloom Energy, he led the North American sales team, driving a focus on DER for data centers and expanding into new verticals and geographies. His earlier career at Silver Spring Networks saw him securing over $2.2 billion in contracts with major electric utilities globally and leading the company to a successful NYSE IPO.

Additionally, he spearheaded IoT growth at EquipmentShare and at Liquid Robotics, where he achieved significant sales growth and was successfully acquired by Boeing in 2016. He has done overseas assignments in both England and Australia focusing on new, disruptive technology business lines by Nortel Networks.  Dan holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.

Chris Seiple

Chris brings over 25 years of experience leading energy information businesses and providing strategy and market analysis. He is currently Vice Chairman of Wood Mackenzie’s Power and Renewables practice. Prior to this, Chris led Genscape’s worldwide power business which included LineVision prior to spin-out. Chris was previously Sr. Vice President at GE Financial Services and managed a 2,500 MW portfolio of power and transmission assets, and led IHS CERA’s European and Russian research and consulting businesses.
